We got the word last month that Edmonton's best band The Wheat Pool were calling it quits after 7 years, playing a final show Friday, March 23 at The Pawn Shop . Much success in the future to the guys and I'll be there w/ Mrs. Recluse and hope you all will be, too.

"It is hard to name the exact reason why, although we know we are going to be asked a fair bit," says a statement from the group. "That particular 'something special' which bound us together and moved us forward appears to be gone, and we aren't the types to try and force it, manufacture it, or fake it. We would rather burn bright and burn out. We have admitted that we aren't four guys in the same place anymore, and that makes it really hard to be a great band. So we are moving on."
