The Joe Bird CD release event at The Empress last Saturday was a fine event indeed and yours truly managed to slide in and out to snag a CD and it's every bit as good as I expected. The many who worked on this to get Joe's demos out deserve every bit of props they will certainly get and they've done Joe's memory well.
If you couldn't be there the Joe Bird Bandcamp page has the CD in it's entirety and free to download, so there's no excuse not to to listen to the most original guy to ever come out of Edmonton.

Legendary (and proudly Canadian) punk band D.O.A. are calling it a day after their Farewell Tour this year and us lucky Edmontonians get a chance to see Joe (JoeyShithead) Keithley and the guys one more time this Friday, February 22 at The Pawn Shop before they slam-dance off into the sunset. Tickets at the door are sold-out, but some tickets may still be had at Blackbyrd Myoozik if you need a couple.
